Specifically, there were mounting problems with some Arri cameras and the Sony F55 camera
At the beginning of this year, we received reports of issues with the newly-released PL mounts for our Cine Lens lineup, in conjunction with certain camera models. Specifically, there were mounting problems with some Arri cameras and the Sony F55 camera. The back of the lens was coming into contact with the “handles” of the PL mount on those cameras, preventing the lens from inserting fully into the body. The issue occurred only with these cameras. All the new PL mount lenses are now available with the updated mount
Our developing team went to work immediately, and although there were some delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re now pleased to announce that this issue has been corrected with a re-design of the PL mount and the new configuration has immediately replaced the original mount. All the new PL mount lenses are now available with the updated mount.
