Originally produced in 95mm to fit the Irix 15mm f/2.4 lens, the selection has been expanded to include the standard 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77 and 82mm sizes. These additions make the filters compatible with lenses in several focal lengths from most manufacturers.

Irix Edge Filters with Cases

With their aesthetic design and precision engineering, Irix Edge filters offer ease of use and superb optical performance. Manufactured with high-quality optical glass and a solid, lightweight frame, they also provide a very low profile to reduce the chances of vignetting. Knurled rings provide an excellent grip and front threads allow filter stacking. Each filter is treated with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating to reduce glare.

Here’s an overview of the filters available:

  • UV/lens protectorIrix Edge UV FilterThis ultra-slim UV filter offers extraordinary light transmission. The filter helps eliminate the blue cast caused by UV rays and provides protection for the front lens element. Its additional waterproof NANO coating helps keep the glass surface free of stains and water droplets. The low-profile frame and knurled edges provide an excellent grip.
  • Circular Polarizer

Irix Edge Neutral Density filters (ND) reduce the amount of light entering the lens and are an essential tool for long exposure photography and depth of field manipulation. An additional water and oil repellent NANO coating provides protection from stains and fingerprints, and enables use in extreme weather conditions. The densities available offer 3, 5, 7 and 10 stops of EV reduction individually.

Shipments to Irix dealers are underway at the time of this writing. The filters are expected to be in stock at authorized US dealers in approximately 10 days. Prices will range from $27.00 to $76.50.
