We know that a lot of our followers are anxiously awaiting the release of the new Irix 11mm lens, coming later this month. (More about that in a moment.)

To give you a good idea of how well the new arrival will perform, we asked Christopher Frost to take a look at the lightweight Firefly version and he provided a great video that we're about to share with you. He tested the lens on both a full frame camera and a crop sensor version.

...you'll enjoy the side-by-side comparisons to one of Canon's most popular super-wide zoom lenses.

If you've been wondering how this new prime lens stacks up against its main competitors, you'll enjoy the side-by-side comparisons to one of Canon's most popular super-wide zoom lenses. We think you'll find it holds its own extremely well, especially when you consider that the Irix 11mm will cost less than a fifth of the cost of the Canon in the Firefly version and the Blackstone will sell for about a third of the cost.

Take a few minutes to find out what Christopher had to say about our latest. Remember, the lens will make its debut at The Photography Show in Birmingham, March 18 - 21. Get your hands on it at booth C31. See you there!

Irix. The photographer’s dream. Built by engineers and perfected by designers.
